Professional Artist
I am an independent artist with over 25 years of experience in various art related fields. I’ve always aspired to be a comic book artist as a child and I’ve achieved those goals when I worked under the art direction of one of my better influences and mentors, Alex Ross (DC’s Kingdom Come) to revitalize the Japanese anime Gatchaman under TopCow productions/ Image comics.
After a few years and numerous published American comic book productions, I achieved my aspiration of collaborating with premier artists. Although I already achieved many goals, I decided to forge ahead, expand my horizons and pursue even greater milestones. I use this page to post my stuff, both old and new, to showcase my growth as an artist.
I hope you enjoy this visual journey as much as I enjoy creating art.
Biography
My passion for art and illustration started from humble beginnings with pencils and paper in my childhood. I was always looking to become a famous artist, quickly taking an affinity for the intricate and detailed work of Japanese Manga comics. In my teenage years, I was fortunate to gain experience doing promotional work for long time American comic publisher Marvel, and later with Image, TopCow, and Capcom.
My desire for graphic arts and illustration exploded into creative pursuits. My work in Taiwan for top tier art studios brought solid experience in digital painting, art direction, as well as game design and direction. Taiwan also led me to work with the Single Parent Education Foundation (SPEF) in fund raising efforts through art. Digital painting also opened the doors for many years of illustrating for the Lord of the Five Rings CCG.
Renowned artists are known for both their art style and creative body of work. I am currently working to bring my own creations to life in print and animation with Nine Lives Studios and to move into the next level of my creative achievement.
